Local Wineries, Breweries and more: For a picturesque winery, Black Star Farms, is a good one or for an adventure in the city try Kayak Bike and Brew. TC Cycle Pub is a fun group brewery tour May-Oct. Right Brain Brewery and Traverse City Whiskey Company are good picks.
Voted “Most beautiful place in nation” by Good Morning America, visit Sleeping Bear Dunes. You can drive up and get out at several lookouts on the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive or climb the dunes at the Dune Climb. If you choose to do any climbing or hiking, make sure you bring water and socks as the sand can get hot.
The best spot for pizza is The Filling Station. Located just south of 8th St in the old train depot about a 15-20 walk East. Wood fired pizzas and many local beers on tap.
